2012 Tournaments
We held 6 tournaments this past season. As always teach of the tournaments were team events, where the two anglers fish together as partners. We continue to promote the idea of working together and having fun. Our Tournament Guidelines are available if you want to check them out, CLICK HERE
We held 9 Tournament Days for the Adult Club again this season. All of the tournaments were team events, with new teams drawn for each event. This continues to promote the concept of working together. The members are required to drop two Tournament days after the season which helps level the playing field for everyone (we all have had tournaments that we would like to forget!). The Youth side of the club had a great season with four tournament days for the Junior Club. They will also fish the Michigan BASS Junior State Championship at Cass Lake. We held our 3rd Annual Open Tournament on September 5th this year on Lake St. Clair. We moved it up from October to get some better weather.

How does a
Youth Tournament Work?? If you want to see how we actually do things, check out this article... 2012 Lake St Clair Youth Tournament the Largest we have ever had. The club managed to pull off the largest tournament we have ever held for our Youth Club. We had a total of 32 anglers fishing on Sunday May 20th at a Golden Rule Tournament. We sent out a total of 11 boats at around 7 am in midst of a hectic morning at the Crocker Ramp. The lot was just about full when we got there at 630, who would have thought? There were cars, trucks and boats everywhere. Must be everyone else was itching to get out and fish. Every boat had a limit for the day. The largest Paper Sack was Tim Morris and his two Junior Anglers, Tim Her and Chase Serafin. They had a nice sack of 22.65 pounds with the big fish of the day at 4.81 pounds. Each of the boats had 3 anglers on board except one. We had to call in reinforcements from Larry Gargus, Tom Pozios, Mike Kujawski and Scott Hatton to help out as guest boaters for the day. We are all looking forward to the next tournament at Crooked lake where we actually get to put fish in the livewells... . 2012 Lake St Clair First Tournament of the Season We held our first tournament of the season at Lake St Clair on Saturday May 12th. It was a big success. This one was a Golden Rule Tournament to start the season. We obviously limited everyone to American water only. Every boat caught a limit. The team of Tim Morris and Tony Impellezzeri won with 20.13 pounds of fish. Tim also had big fish for the day with a respectable 5.19 pound smallmouth. This was Tony's first tournament with this club. Tim is a seasoned member and almost always does well at St Clair. For all of the results, CLICK HERE. The club classic was a tough one. After meeting in Milford for breakfast, we found out the lake we would be fishing this year. Kent Lake was chosen as the lake of the day. It was a cold and wet day on the lake most all day. The wind blew and the fishing was pretty slow. Though there were quite a few fish caught, only a handful of keepers were landed. Paul Wagner ended up with the winning sack, a whopping 5.66 pounds took the title this year. For the rest odf the results, CLICK HERE. We only had 13 teams this year ,but everyone had a great time, we expected more. Several of our club members as well as a lot of other local anglers put together teams to fish the somewhat settled down lake St Clair. The morning started out a little cool but we finished with a beautiful day after all. A huge 25.15 pound sack took this years trophy and cash. Steve Eisenmenger and Terry Melvin from Lunch Money Lures won this year. That's an average of about 5 pounds a fish, great job!! We are already discussing the 2011 tournament and are all looking foerward to what Mother Nature will throw at us next year. For full tournament results CLICK HERE. We want to especially thank all of our sponsors who donated Door Prizes, to help make the tournament a success. Check them all out to the right... Junior
Michigan Bass Anglers Win the First Place Team AwardThe 2010 Junior Michigan Bass Angers 4 Angler Team took First Place for the Club Award at this years Michigan Bass Nation Junior State Championship on Cass Lake. The MBA Junior Anglers worked well together to put a 10.04 pound sack of fish to take the honors. The entire Junior Club has come a long way and they should be very proud of them selves. For Club Pictures and Tournament Results It was a tough day on the lake for most everyone. No limits were brought to the scale out of the 25 Junior Anglers.
