2010 Fall Fling Fund Raiser was a Big Success...
After having to delay the Tournament one day
because of high winds, the 3rd Annual Fall Fling was a big success.
We only had 13 teams this year ,but everyone had a great time, we
expected more. Several of our club members as well as a lot of
other local anglers put together teams to fish the somewhat settled
down lake St Clair. The morning started out a little cool but
we finished with a beautiful day after all. A huge 25.15 pound
sack took this years trophy and cash. Steve Eisenmenger and
Terry Melvin from Lunch Money Lures won this year. That's an
average of about 5 pounds a fish, great job!! We are already
discussing the 2011 tournament and are all looking foerward to what
Mother Nature will throw at us next year. For full tournament

all of our sponsors who donated Door Prizes, to help make the
tournament a success. Check them all out to the right... |
Junior
Michigan Bass Anglers Win the First Place Team Award
The 2010 Junior Michigan Bass Angers 4 Angler
Team took First Place for the Club Award at this years Michigan Bass
Federation Junior State Championship on Cass Lake. The MBA Junior
Anglers worked well together to put a 10.04 pound sack of fish to
take the honors. The entire Junior Club has come a long way
and they should be very proud of them selves. For Club

Marcel Veenstra, Pro Angler, does a Mini Seminar at the Youth
Meeting
The February Michigan Bass Anglers Youth
meeting was a big success. Marcel Veenstra, one of our avid
supporters and a local Pro Angler came to the Gander Mountain
meeting to do a Mini-seminar. Marcel spent over two hours
giving our youth (and some adult) anglers some great angling tips.
Marcel discussed the four seasons and how they might be approached.
There was great question and answer period and everyone learned
something during the evening. |

Second Annual Awards Banquet
We held our second awards banquet and it was a big
success. For a second year in a row, we had almost every club member and the vast majority
of the Youth Members attend as well as several spouses and Youth
member partners and family members. The Pot Luck Dinner was
delicious and very successful again this year. Just about everyone brought something to set out.
We want to send out a special thanks to the Northfield Township Fire
Department and Chris Bishop for setting us up at the nice facility.
Greg Choiniere was awarded the 2009 Angler of the Year and Jake
Choiniere was awarded the Youth Angler of the Year. There were
not two more deserving people. Both worked very hard this year
and their efforts wer
e rewarded. Over all, everyone one walked
away with a trophy for their wins or their finish places. |
